Job Description

Go Forth Music is looking for music industry professionals, journalists, and students to write informative articles for our community. We publish practical articles that help musicians and music industry entrepreneurs navigate the everyday challenges they face working in the music business.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to write engaging articles about prominent music industry tools, techniques, and issues.
  • Must be proactive and able to thrive in the work environment independently.
  • Must have a genuine interest in the music industry. Experience as music industry professional or music business student is a plus.
  • Must be able to write in a professional style and pay strict attention to detail.
  • Experience with WordPress is a plus.

The Get It Done Crew

Job Description

Go Forth Music is looking for college juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent grads to join our team of music industry virtual assistants known as the Get It Done Crew.  The Get It Done Crew works on projects for our clients on an as-needed basis and completes tasks ranging from social media profile management to hotel and studio booking/research.  Working for the Get It Done Crew is a great way to  get practical experience in the music industry AND make money from the comfort of your dorm room.

Qualifications

  • Must be well-organized, proactive, and be able to thrive in the work environment independently.
  • Must possess social media savvy. Experience with Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and YouTube is a plus.
  • Must have a computer and a consistent internet connection.
  • Must possess excellent writing and research skills.
  • Must pay strict attention to detail.
  • Experience with any of the following programs/platforms is a plus: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, iMovie, Final Cut (Pro or Express), WordPress, Tumblr, Tweetdeck, Adobe Audition, Audacity, Pro Tools, Logic, Photoshop, HTML, Reverbnation, Sonicbids, Microsoft Office, iWork, and Google Apps
  • Must have a genuine interest in the music industry.  Majoring in music business (or an equivalent area), music engineering technology (or an equivalent area), marketing, graphic design, or business is a plus.
